What you'll need
  • Your child's device with Roblox
  • Your email address
  • A government ID or credit card to verify you're an adult
  • About 15 minutes
  1. Start from your child's account

On your child's Roblox account, open Settings > Parental Controls and choose to add a parent. Enter your email address. Roblox emails you steps to create or link your parent account.

  2. Verify you're an adult

Roblox asks you to verify your age with a government-issued ID or credit card before you can manage settings.

  3. Choose content and chat settings

Pick a content maturity level, block specific games if you want, and choose who your child can chat with. You can turn chat off for children under 13.

  4. Set screen time and spending limits

Set a daily screen time limit and a monthly spending limit, and turn on spending notifications.

⚠️ Careful: Never share your Roblox password or pay for "free Robux" offers. These are common scams aimed at kids.
🎉 All done!

In most regions, parents can manage all settings until age 12, and some until 15. Menu names change as apps update. These steps were checked against official help pages in October 2026.
