What you'll need
  • A Wi-Fi printer that's turned on
  • Your phone on the same Wi-Fi network as the printer
  • About 5 minutes
  1. Check the Wi-Fi

Your phone and printer must be on the same Wi-Fi network. Printing over public hotspots won't work.

  2. iPhone or iPad: use AirPrint

๐Ÿ“ฑ iPhone / iPad: Open the photo, email or document. Tap the Share button (or Actions), then Print. Tap No Printer Selected, choose your printer, set copies and pages, then tap Print.

๐Ÿค– Android: Open the item and tap Menu (often โ‹ฎ) or Share > Print. Tap the printer name at the top, pick your printer, then tap the print button. Android's Default Print Service works with Mopria-certified printers.

  3. Printer not showing up?

Restart the printer and your phone, and confirm the Wi-Fi. On Android, check Settings > Connected devices > Connection preferences > Printing (names vary) and make sure a print service is on. The printer maker's free app is another option.

  4. Cancel a print job

iPhone: open the App Switcher and tap Print Center, then Cancel Printing. Android: look for the print job in your notifications or the print service; the steps vary by phone.

๐ŸŽ‰ All done!
